About Jerry Delany

Story Writer

As a native Floridian, born and raised in St. Augustine, my paternal heritage traces back to Antioni Canova II, born in 1756, in the parish of Leon Villa of Mahon, Minorca. On my maternal Pacetti side, I have traced it back to Andres Paxeti Sr., born prior to 1768 also of the parish of Leon Villa of Mahon, Minorca.

The Irish Surname Delany came when my grandfather, Thomas A. Delany, married Theo Lillian Canova of St. Augustine. My Delany heritage can be traced to my great great grandfather, Dan Delany, Who came from around County Cork Ireland. He married Mary Murphy in Milford Massachusetts.
