Gerald Thomas "Jerry" Delany is the 11th great grand nephew of Francisco Andreu.  Their common ancestors are Jaime Andreu Sr. and Petra .

FRANCISCO ANDREU, born in Alayor, before 1570, at which time began the first book of baptism of that parish. For that reason we don’t know the exact date of his birth. It may have been around the year 1565. On the 15th day of May, 1588, he married Bartolemea Bru, maiden, at the parochial church of St. Eulalia of Alayor. She was the daughter of Pedro and Francisca Bru, both deceased. The witnesses were Mossen Pedro Falan and Mossin Antonio Xalpes, member of a distinguished family of notaries. (The title of Mossin-is it mossen or mossin? It is spelled both ways in this paper.) derived from my lord, and was given first to the inferior grade of the nobility- cavalier or illustrious- in all the kingdom of the crown of Aragon, to which Menorca belonged. Later, it was extended to the bourgeoisie, the well to do, and the middle class. Lastly, it was the exclusive title of the cleric, as it still is in Catalonia.) The death certificate of Fransisco Andreu states he was buried on January 19, 1596. He received the sacraments. He left no will for the poor. This Francisco (and his brothers and sisters who married and had children) gave origin to one of the many branches that exist in the Andreu family. In this work we will dispense with them to study only the direct lineage of JUAN ANDREU CAULES (The mother’s last name was often added after the father’s last name, as Caules was to Andreu.) who departed for Florida in 1768. (Juan Andreu with his mother, Angela Caules Pons Andreu, brothers Antonio and Tomas, sister Juana, and perhaps another sister departed for Florida.)
